Srushti began to prepare herself for the UPSC examination in her 3rd year as a student in engineering. As she was finishing her last year in engineering, Srushti Deshmukh questioned if she would be interested in working in engineering. Then, she realized that her passion was in civil service and decided to pursue it. Her parents encouraged to study civil service, and to pursue an employment in the public sector. She kept her motivation and concentrated on becoming an IAS Officer. To be eligible for UPSC, you have to be more diligent. She also prepared for UPSC examinations while taking engineering classes. This exam preparation was done daily. She spent only one month studying for the test and kept completely off of Facebook and other social media in her life. She believes that focusing is the most important factor to succeed in the exam of government and becoming an official in the civil service. She was determined to get through the test quickly, so she was able to put in a lot of work. To stay informed about current affairs, she used to regularly go through news papers. On the internet, she gathered a variety of study material and watched Rajya Sabha TV. IAS Srushti Deskmukh's book IAS Srushti Deskmukh has also written a book, which was released under the name The writing answer guide. You can find it at every library in the state.
