A successful career may hide the darkest of stories. Lolo jones, the winner of USA and World hurdles, has earned the status he has achieved after years of dedication and perseverance. Jones, who was born to a motherless family with five children who were stricken by poverty and hardship when she was a kid, endured an extremely challenging childhood. Her mom lived in the street and was even living within the basement of a church in the area in the past. Jones was required to relocate to another school every throughout her high school years as a result of her nomadic life. Jones, who was interested in track and field events in Theodore Roosevelt high school, stayed far from her mother to pursue her interests. She stayed in four homes during her time in high school to ensure that she could complete her studies in one location. Jones received an award called the Gatorade Iowa Track & Field Athlete of the Year Award during her time at school. She also was involved in the school orchestra, as cellist. Jones was among the most skilled hurdlers when she first entered college. At the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship she took home the 100-meter hurdles. Also, she was among those on the second team for the relay race of 100 meters. Jones has won indoor hurdles at the NCAA championships in 2003 as well as 2004. Jones began training in 2005 when she graduated from her college studies. She won each of the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track races during the same season.

Brandt relocated to Auckland, New Zealand after moving from Cape Town South Africa in later adolescence. Brandt was noticed by casting directors from her home town and was cast in the part as Naevia for the Starz hit Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. She was one of the main stars of this series, working with Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi. Mazikeen was a well-loved comic book character on Vertigo/DC, and she played her in the Netflix hit series Lucifer for 6 years. Forbes acknowledged Lucifer in 2021 as the show which had the largest amount of viewers who binge watched.
